Incredible $30 Map-Making Software Bundle Is a Virtual Tabletop GM's Dream

Following a short availability earlier this year, the Map Making Mega Bundle has returned with an encore available through early December. Hailed as an extensive collection of mapping tools created by a specialized software company over the years, the complete package carries a value of more than thirteen hundred dollars. Additionally, there exist multiple package options offered in this deal.

The Main Attraction

The standout feature is definitely a lifetime license to the CC3+ software, an industry-standard mapping application which enables users to create everything from epic fantasy landscapes, detailed regional charts, urban layouts, and most notably, dungeon and tabletop battle maps.

A regional fantasy map created using Campaign Cartographer 3+.

Package Levels

Basic Package

The cheapest bundle tier, starting at just one dollar, features merely four of the 39 total items: Symbol Set 1: Fantasy Overland, Monster Token Pack 1, Source Maps: Castles!, and Source Maps: Cities!. This one's only for cartographers who already have CC3+, yet it provides fresh fantasy design elements for overworld maps, more than 750 monster tokens for use in virtual tabletops, over twenty-five top-down castle layouts including hundreds of map markers, eight fully mapped cities, and more than 70 urban floorplans.

Mid-Range Option

The eight-item bundle for at least $15 is where things get more interesting by adding in a lifetime CC3+ license, the first Annual volume, Tome of Ultimate Mapping, and Symbol Set 6: Isometric Cities. The Annual represents the annual collection from the company's long-running monthly subscription service featuring a variety CC3+ add-ons like map collections and additional utilities. Isometric Cities lets you present urban areas in 3D perspective with isometric views from multiple angles. And the Tome of Ultimate Mapping comprises 760 pages for beginners and "power users" alike, full of tips and tutorials for the map-making process.

Complete Collection

Starting at thirty dollars, the comprehensive package includes all the following:

  • Advanced Terrain Generator
  • Dungeon Designer 3
  • Urban Planning Software
  • Cosmographer 3
  • Perspectives 3
  • Dioramas 3
  • Character Design Module
  • Fantasy Interior Symbols
  • Symbol Set 3: Modern
  • Symbol Set 4: Dungeons of Schley
  • Symbol Set 5: Cities of Schley
  • Monster Token Collection 2
  • Source Maps: Temples, Tombs and Catacombs
  • World War 2 Interactive Atlas
  • World Builder’s Compendium
  • Annual Volumes 1-17
  • Campaign Cartographer 3+ (Lifetime License)
  • 3D City Symbols
  • Tome of Ultimate Mapping
  • Symbol Set 1: Fantasy Overland
  • Monster Token Set 1
  • Fortress Source Maps
  • Metropolitan Source Maps

Every volume of Cartographer's Annual come with this bundle, alongside a slew of additional tools and content enabling creators to craft complete solar systems, or just go all-in on traditional fantasy world-building: combat arenas, dungeons, urban centers, and land masses in multiple viewpoints. You can even design character portraits. At thirty versus fifteen dollars, the complete collection is so worth it, especially for cartographers who have only the annual CC3+ license seeking permanent licensing. But it's obviously more advantageous for cartography beginners since it includes introductory guides to help you get started. The one caveat here though the purchase is available on any platform, the software is only usable on Windows.

Charitable Component

Similar to previous bundles, part of every purchase goes to benefit a nonprofit. In this instance, the beneficiary is Save the Children, established in 1919 by Eglantyne Jebb focused on improving the lives of children worldwide via educational programs, medical services, and crisis response. The Bundle Filters option is toward the top of the page, but you can also select any amount for a donation in the right-hand section. There's also an "Adjust Donation" drop-down immediately below, enabling adjustment of how much of your donation allocated between the platform, developer, and charity.
